The One With All The Gorgeousness

I'm in love with letterpress. Basically - anything you can letterpress, I pretty much want it. I ran across these business cards on oh happy day this morning and they might be the sole reason I quit my job and go into business for myself. Granted, I'd probably have to be a dog walker or something equally focused on tasks rather than ability, but I could do it with fabulous business cards, and that would be enough for me.

I mean seriously. Anyone have their own business? Could you please order these and then let me hang out with them for awhile?

I've already talked about Etsy, and 1Canoe2 with the Texas print...but seriously. They have some of the most amazing things.

I mean - of course I want letterpress recipe cards, or letterpress coasters or a letterpress address book of sorts.

I'm pretty sure my parents are mom is already dreading picking out the invitations for my future wedding. My parents were invited to a wedding a few months ago that included the most ridiculously gorgeous save the dates. I want them.

Like, OH MY WORD.

and those are just save the dates...

from Bella Figura (Emmy - please tell me you have this at The Scribbler)

Not to mention all of the prints that are done on letterpress. I mean, seriously - how adorable would this be in a kitchen.

I've already mentioned this print, and I still think it's pretty fantastic.

Or this in an office? Wouldn't it be nice - when you're all stressed out, to be reminded to just let some of the junk go?

The One About Dace

I found an email in my inbox this morning that reminded me how much I love this brand. Dace is simple, classic, but with some fun twists in texture, pattern and color.

The first thing I fell in love with was this great dress (and the shirt) mainly because I loved the fabric. And guess what! Now they're both on sale. If you know me at all, then you know I'm a HUGE fan of blue - in all shades.

This gauzy white dress is pretty phenomenal too. Wouldn't it be perfect with flats at a picnic. I also know exactly how I would wear my hair in my fictional life.

So on that note...if anyone is capable of making my thin, very flat, hair do this - I would be forever grateful.

And...I'm looking for a good idea on how to wear my hair up to a wedding. The dress I'm wearing is one shoulder with a bow, and I think it would look better to have my hair up. I'm horrible at all things that involve me being able to see the back of my head, so this could be an interesting challenge.

Any thoughts?

The One About Derby Day

Happy Derby Day!

My parents are in Louisville right now with a friend of my dad's who owns one of the horses running today, so everybody put your money on Mission Impazible! I'm beyond jealous, but they're hopefully bringing back presents...

My mom is definitely NOT a hat person, so we've been pulling together outfits for what feel like FOREVER, and dad wore a pink and green paisley tie to The Oaks yesterday. How interesting...

I guess these are the fun things you get to do when you're semi-empty-nesters. I'll be at home babysitting they're puppy-child.

I think based on my need to own hats and pretty dresses...I really should have been invited to this shindig as well. Wouldn't today be so much better spent wearing this...

UPDATE: Congratulations to Super Saver, and that sleezy looking man who won the $100,000 bet.
